Photorealistic Audi Wheel & Tire Modeling

This project showcases a photorealistic 3D model of an Audi rim and tire. The focus was on achieving a high level of realism in both modeling and texturing, using Cinema 4D and Octane for rendering, and Substance Painter for detailed texturing and material work.

Project Details

  • Project: Audi Wheel & Tire Modeling
  • Focus: Photorealistic modeling and texturing
  • Software: Cinema 4D (modeling & scene setup), Octane Render (rendering), Substance Painter (texturing)
  • Year: 2024

Description

The goal of this project was to create a highly realistic 3D model of an Audi wheel and tire, focusing on both the accuracy of the shapes and the quality of the materials. The modeling was done in Cinema 4D, with special attention to the details of the rim and tire tread. Texturing was accomplished in Substance Painter to achieve lifelike surface imperfections and realistic rubber and metal shaders. The final renders were produced in Octane, with additional wireframe and render passes to showcase the modeling and shading process.

Key aspects:

  • Detailed rim and tire modeling for photorealism
  • Physically accurate materials and shaders
  • Texturing in Substance Painter for added realism
  • Wireframe and render passes for process insight
  • Rendered in Octane for high-quality results
